A-shift Lieutenant Firefighter-Paramedic (Center) "Skip" is a Daytona native and 18 year veteran fireman. He has worked at Daytona Beach F.D. and Casselberry(Fla.)F.D. prior to working for Ponce Inlet. Skip served in the vietnam war as an Airborne Ranger. Skip was also a Volusia County ocean lifeguard for several years. He is the department training officer and foam guru. Driver/Engineer Firefighter-EMT(Right) "Kevin"is a state certified Driver-Engineer,he was a firefighter and security officer in the Air Force for 20 years. He is a also a Volusia county ocean lifeguard. Firefighter-EMT (not in photo) John is a Firefighter-EMT, he was previously a Volunteer with our department and was hired to a full time position in 2008.  Due to his outstanding work as a volunteer and great performance during the hiring process we are happy to have John on board.	B-Shift Lieutenant Firefighter-Paramedic(center) "Derek"a Florida native,is the first paid fireman in department history with 10 years service to the town. He is also fire officer,Driver-Engineer,fire inspector,scuba,EVOC instructor,CPR instructor and law enforcement officer certified. Derek was formerly a fireman with Daytona Beach Shores. He also started as a ponce Inlet Volunteer fireman. Driver-Engineer Firefighter-EMT(Right) "Steve"raised in Meadville,Pa is state certified Driver-Engineer.He worked with Palm Coast F.D. prior to Ponce Inlet. He is scuba certified and is a Volusia county ocean lifeguard.Steve served his country in the Marine Corps as an Infantryman. Steve started as a Ponce Inlet Volunteer Fireman. FireFighter-Paramedic(left) "Susanne"is a Florida native,hired in 2004.Prior to being hired by Ponce Inlet she worked with Daytona Beach Shores public safety as a PSO4(Police,Fire,EMT,Paramedic)
C-Shift Lieutenant Firefighter-Paramedic (center) "Mike.N"is a 5 year employee with the department.Mike also worked with D.C. EMS, Virginia Tech and Ocala(Fla)F.D. Mike is Haz-Mat,Driver-Engineer,Fire Officer,Rope technician,scuba and Swiftwater Rescue Technician certified. Mike is the department quartermaster and special ops officer. Driver-Engineer Firefighter-EMT (right) "Mike.Y"is a state certified, Fire Officer 1, Driver-Engineer,NREMT-B, is scuba and Swiftwater Rescue trained and is a AHA BLS/CPR instructor. Mike served his country in the Army as an Infantry NCO, Scout and Combat Medic.He volunteered with Volusia County and Ponce Inlet Fire Rescue.Mike is the Muscular Dystrophy rep. and the webmaster of this site. Firefighter-Paramedic (left) "Cheryl" has over 10 years experience in public safety related fields.She is certified as a police officer,Firefighter,EMT,paramedic,Driver-Engineer,and Registered Nurse who also works in a local E.R. Cheryl worked with Daytona Beach F.D. and Daytona Beach Shores Public Safety.
